									<p>During the extreme heat last summer, in search of shade and a place where my dogs could get exercise at mid-day with out over heating, I stumbled upon  Woodland Cemetery.  What a discovery!  Not only did it provide plenty of shade trees, but with delight I discovered there were water spigots every few meters.  Truly a dog paradise!</p><p> And it is not just a great warm weather location.  When ice and salt cover Burlington sidewalks dog walking friendly, cemetery roads are typically cleared by 10:00 am and sanded not salted.</p><p>To locate cemeteries in your walking area visit: https://bit.ly/2JPTWcV</p>								</div>

They can travel great distances along ravines, hydro corridors, and highways.  Food sources like mice, rats, and garbage are readily available in urban areas, attracting coyotes to residential neighbourhoods.</p><p>So, what do you do if a coyote approaches?<br />If you see a coyote, keep your distance and the animal will most likely avoid you.<br />If you encounter an aggressive coyote: Stop. Pick up small children and pets, shout &#8220;GO AWAY&#8221; and wave your arms high in the air.<br />Use hazing techniques, such as popping open an umbrella, throwing an object near the coyote or shaking your keys.<br />Back away slowly while remaining calm.
