Hi! Melanie here, owner of Untapped Resources. If I seem familiar it’s probably because you recognize me as that lady who carries on in-depth conversations with the dog she’s walking or that you have seen me waving and saying hello to every cat or dog watching out the windows as I pass. What can I say? Some people are naturally attracted to babies – for me, it’s always been cats and dogs.

As a teacher, a technology salesperson, or as the Canadian Distribution Manager for a US software company I never expected that one day I would be running a pet care company but here I am following my joy!

My start in the pet care industry began as an associate of Lifestyle Pet Care – Burlington Ontario. A few walks a day quickly turned into overnight stays, boarding and lots and lots of cat sits. Eventually, I was awarded the role of Interim Manager where I was exposed to the business side of pet care.

When Lifestyle Pet Care owner Linda O’Sullivan retired there was no question as to what was next. I followed my joy by making providing pet care when you are not there the focus of Untapped Resources!

When it comes to pet care, we understand the stress of finding care for your furkids while you work, travel or any of a hundred other reasons that take you places your pets can’t go.  

Untapped Resources can provide that care!  Our services include mid-day one on one dog walks, quality interactive cat care, overnight in-home pet care or away from home boarding with boarders who view pets as part of the family!
